Hello Dick, I’m so so sorry my Friend. Your wife was way to young for this to happed my Friend. It appears that this happened very sudden and unexpected. I cherish all of the time we spent at Atwood’s. I think about you from time to time and I was always going to call you and come up to visit with you and you wife. I would still like to come and visit with you after everything calms down and your ready to visit again. All I need is your address and phone number please? Once again I’m so sorry for your loss. Hugs and Prayers. Charles Hammer

We met Dick and Irene soon after they came to WI from Chicago. They rented a house from us and we became very good friends. Farm life was new to them so it was exciting to see how they adapted. Irene was always so joyous and eager to learn and try new things. We grew to love them both very much. Irene was very creative in everything she did whether it was cooking or creating some beautiful works of art. Irene was a very hard working lady. She loved her family and her animals and that was evident by how she cared for them. We are deeply sorry for your loss, Dick. May God be your strength and hope. Love and prayers of comfort, Sharon Davis

Dick my deepest sympathy for the loss of your wife of 56 yrs. To the rest of the family my heart felt sympathy. A memory of having worked with Irene for over 20 yrs. When I started to work at Micro Switch Irene had gorgeous long hair. One day she came to work with her hair cut very short & styled. She looked great as always but really took us all by surprise! Irene was kind to everyone, hard working, easy to work with & will be missed by all that knew her. RIP Donna "Heim" Wedige
