Sorry to hear about Gene 's death. Years ago when I was in HS, but too young to drink, I used to drive Gene, Donnie and my brother Ernest Jr. (Butch) around on weekends in the summer at night. It was a "win win" as I got to go out on a weekend roller skating with them and then they would party and as the "designated driver" I'd drive them home.

I remember Gene would give mom (Leona Hanson) a ride to Advance Transformer. She appreciated that so much when it was winter, cold and dark !!
