Kristie L. Gibson, age 60 of Cuba City, WI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at her home in Cuba City. She was born March 2, 1960 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Norm and Sandra (Fehsel) Gibson. Kristie was raised in Appleton, WI where she graduated from Appleton West High School in 1978. After high school, Kristie attended UW-Stout in Menomonie, WI. A year after giving birth to her daughter Tricia, the two of them moved to Dunedin, FL where they lived for 15 years to be near her parents. In 2007, Kristie and Tricia moved back to Wisconsin, living in New London, WI until moving to Cuba City in 2017 where she has resided since. Kristie is survived by her daughter and best friend: Tricia (Cody) Foster of Warren, IL; her grandpuppies: Marley, Daisy, and Duke; her siblings: Kurt (KayC) Gibson of Morrisville, NC, Keith (Annemarie) Gibson of Ocoee, FL, Leslie (Jerry) Paul of Weyauwega, WI, and Guy Gibson of Cincinnati, OH; a sister-in-law: Karen Gibson of Myrtle Beach, SC; her nieces and nephews: Chase (Lauren) Gibson, Taylor (Stu Croft) Gibson, Justine (Jonathan) Braddy, Samantha Gibson, Hailee (Robbie) Struck, Hunter (Kenzi Thiel) Paul, Autumn Gibson, and Gage Gibson; and her great-nieces and nephews that she spoiled rotten: Raylen, Sawyer, Isla, Luca, Farren, and Calen. She was preceded in death by her parents; one uncle: Thomas Fehsel; and one aunt: Patricia Nardi. Kristie loved her daughter Tricia fiercely and cherished the memories they created together. They were best friends and shared many secrets together. She had a kind soul and was always willing to help anyone in need. Kristie loved to craft, doing many DIY projects that often time involved thrifting for the right supplies. She enjoyed traveling the country and always had a passion for history that she passed on to her daughter. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, particularly for dogs and birds. Her beloved dog Maddie May was always by her side. Kristie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A Celebration of Kristie's life will be held at a later date. I have SO MANY wonderful memories. I think my favorite is the one of us shopping. We loved to go “dittie” shopping. One time Kristie, Sandra Elvonne and I were in a barn looking at antiques. I said, “look at this dittie”. They both said, “what did you call that?” I said, “a dittie. Look at this little dittie”. Hence, “ditties”. It stuck ever since. She sure loved her ditties. She was always buying for everyone. Always had little packages to go to so someone. She was the most thoughtful and giving person ever! We went on vacation this past summer together UP NORTH. We came home and a week later I had a photo album of our time together. I will cherish my “dittie” from Kristie forever........❤️

Kristie was always fun to talk with, especially about animals. She gave me a little keychain with chickens on it that I keep at my desk at work. She will be missed!
