Gary Garrison

Gary S. Garrison, age 82, of rural Darlington, WI passed away at his home on Friday November 13, 2020. He was born on September 19, 1938, in Lamont Township, WI the son of Henry and Mamie (Shager) Garrison. Gary graduated from Darlington High School. He was united in marriage to Veronica Burke on January 16, 1988 at Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington. Gary lived and farmed on Dobbs Road all of his life. He was a patrolman for Argyle Township for a number of years. He is survived by his step children: Diane Bredeson of Darlington, Jim (Mary) Bredeson of Boscobel, WI, Donna Lawinger of Mineral Point, WI; grandchildren: Jeremy (Leon) Bredeson, Barrett Bredeson, Elizabeth (Gene) Linfante, Hannah (Rijalda) La winger; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn (Tyson) Bredeson, Remy Linfante, Zerina Deovic; one brother in-law: Dick Kundert of Monroe,WI. Along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary is preceded in death by his wife Veronica; one brother: Carl Garrison; two sisters: Ardith Witt and Betty Kundert; grandson: Will Lawinger.Gary was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mineral Point, the Fayette "Go-Getters" snowmobile club, and the Pecatonica Antique Club. He was a collector of Antique Tractors, he enjoyed doing the restoration and refabrication to John Deere tractors, snowmobiling, and was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, Brewers, and Green Bay Packers. Gary also enjoyed bird watching out on the farm.A private family funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington with Rev. Cal Schaver officiating.
