So sorry to hear of Marvin's passing. I worked with him at the stockyards in Darlington years ago when he was buying livestock. He was a very nice man and always brought his dog to work with him. My sympathy to all of his family . Lorraine Elzen

Marv has been a great friend of of the Hereford industry especially in Wisconsin where so many of us would call him friend! Always a smile and a hardy laugh was had when spending time discussing Hereford cattle! The industry and many of us will miss him and his influence. Our hearts go out to Ruth and his family but know that he is in a better place. RIP Marv! Marshall Ernst and Family Ernst Herefords

Marv was the hardest-working man I ever knew, besides my dad, Roy Wilke! He was the master at grilling Hereford steaks, and I remember as a kid seeing Coors beer for the 1st time ever at the front porch of the mansion on Hwy 78...why I remember that, I don 't know...but I do! I'm thankful for all of the things Marv did for us; many of these things you don't realize until later in life. I can't imagine what our family's life would have been without the Espenscheids in it, but I'm glad I'll never have to know. The progeny of a person; their lives, families, successes and positive influences on others in their lives, are a reflection of who that person was. Suffice it to say that if the world had more people like Marv Espenscheid in it, it wouldn't be in the mess that it is. Thanks for being you, Marv!!! GODspeed! Joe Schulte

Marv was always one of the people I enjoyed seeing and working with during the summer when I worked in the Entry Office at the fair. Marv ran a great Jr. Beef show, which made our job easier! It was always sad when the junior show would end and Marv and Ruth headed home. A great man that touched the lives of so many. My condolences to you, Ruth, and the rest of your family.
