Shawn O'Rourke

Shawn M. O'Rourke, age 55 of Monroe, WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 23, 2021 at his home in Monroe. He was born December 15, 1965 in Monroe the son of Richard O'Rourke and Barbara Stamm-Flannery. Shawn lived in the Monroe area his entire life where he attended Monroe High School. After high school, Shawn began working as a truck driver, a job he enjoyed more then anything else.Shawn is survived by his mother: Barb Stamm (Jerry) Flannery of Weatherford, TX; his brothers: Robert O'Rourke of Monroe, Ronald O'Rourke of Fort Worth, TX, Brian (Jodie) O'Rourke of Belleville, WI, and Shannon (Ruthie) O'Rourke of Fitchburg, WI; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends he considered family. Shawn was preceded in death by his father: Richard O'Rourke and beloved grandmother: Jeanette Stamm.Shawn was a kind-hearted man who was always willing to help his family and friends in their time of need. He cherished his family - especially his nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.A public visitation will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee Street, Argyle). A private family memorial service will be held at Yellowstone Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel L. Bohlman officiating at a later date. Burial will be in Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery.
