Patricia Reichling

Patricia E. "Patsy" Reichling, age 84 of Darlington, Wisconsin, met Jesus and her loved ones in Heaven on Monday, May 24, 2021, at her home after a short battle with cancer. She was born December 12, 1936 to Robert and Marian (VanMatre) Howery. She graduated from Darlington High School in 1954. On August 21, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Richard Reichling, at Holy Rosary Catholic Parsonage. Together they raised 4 children on their family farm, along with David, Donna and their kids. She delivered many lunches to the fields in her day. Patsy loved spending time with her family, friends, feeding the birds, a cup of coffee, and the TV show Blue Bloods. She would spend most the day in the kitchen always with a towel over her shoulder, baking cookies to share with others.Survivors include her children: Rick (Karen) Reichling, Steve (Wendi) Reichling, Mike (Tammy) Reichling all of Darlington, Lori (Ron) Lee of Mineral Point, WI; 12 grandchildren: Jen Martin, Christopher "Gipper" Reichling, Nathan Reichling, Heather Reichling, Katie Roth, Brandi Ruf Wepking, Jessica Reichling, Joey Ruf, Andrew Reichling, Shane Reichling, Brody Lee, Sydney Lee; two step-grandchildren: Carriél Kammerud and Amber Louah; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother: Frank (Mary) Howery of Janesville, WI; one sister: Roberta (Tom Bullock) Howery of Woodland Park, CO; one uncle: Joe (Shirley) VanMatre of Mineral Point; two brother-in- laws: David Reichling of Darlington and Ron Macias of Chico, CA; one sister-in-law: Jane Howery of Darlington and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Richard in 2012; one brother: Walter (Buck)Howery; four sister-in-laws: Donna Reichling, Joan Macias, Joan Reichling and Mary Ellen Reichling; her father and mother-in-law: Joe and Opal Reichling.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 104 E. Harriet St., Darlington, with Fr. Joji Ready officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church on Thursday, May 27, 2021. A time of family remembrance will be held following the visitation at the church on Thursday at the Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington, is serving the family.
