Alberta Milestone

Alberta E. Milestone, age 86 of Darlington, WI passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born January 10, 1935 in Darlington the daughter of Clarence and Mary Vera (Dunn) Peterson. Alberta grew up in Darlington where she graduated from Darlington High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Milestone on May 9, 1953 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Following her marriage, she and Bob farmed in Fayette Township in Lafayette County for many years. She also proudly ran Milestone Upholstery for many years. After retiring from the farm, Bob and Alberta moved into Fayette. Alberta is survived by her children: Larry (Daphne) Milestone, Kevin Milestone, and Marlys (Mark) Rehmstedt all of Darlington; three grandchildren: Stacy (Matt) Kammes, Erin (special friend: Corey Moran) Milestone, and Bryan Rehmstedt; three great-grandchildren: Makayla and Jaci Kammes, and Brynn Moran; two sisters: Fabian (special friend: Mike Sullivan) Meyers of Darlington; and Camilla Anderson of Madison, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; two brothers: Raymond Peterson and Basil Peterson; two sisters: Justine Hicks and Fran Fink; and two brothers-in-law: Hank Meyers and Charles Anderson. Alberta was a member of our Lady of Fatima parish, Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington and its Council of Catholic Women. She and Bob were charter members of Fayette Snow Goers, was a willing volunteer for the Fayette Go-Getters 4-H Club, and was a member of Red Rock Homemakers. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and the memories they created together. She had a kind gentle soul who was always willing to help someone in their time of need. Her family and friends will miss her deeply. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet St., Darlington) with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be in Fayette Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:15 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
