Cynthia K. Symons, age 66 of Brodhead, WI formerly of Shullsburg, WI passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at UW-Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born April 27, 1955 in Shullsburg the daughter of Charles Jr. and Kathleen (Scott) Symons. Cynthia was born and raised in Shullsburg where she graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1973. She retired from Swiss Colony in Monroe, WI with 40 plus years of dedicated service. Cynthia is survived by her significant other: Merle Monahan of Brodhead; two brothers: Bruce (Jody) Symons of Nekoosa, WI and Todd Symons of Lena, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and many loved ones from the Monahan family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cynthia adored her nieces and nephews and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed golfing and traveling with Merle throughout the years, especially the time they spent at Silvercryst Resort. Cynthia had an infectious laugh and was always known as a very giving person. She was proud to donate to various charities throughout the years. A private family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg with Rev. Stanton Bockwoldt of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg officiating. The Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is serving the family. Shocked to hear of Cindy's passing. She was my manager for several years. She was a hard worker and very dedicated to the company. She was always willing to help out where needed. She will be missed. Lots of good memories.
