Patrick Heim

Patrick J. "Pat" Heim, age 65 of Shullsburg, WI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 3, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He was born March 10, 1956 in Cuba City, WI, the son of John "Bruno" and Dorothy (Schunk) Heim. Pat grew up in Shullsburg where he spent his entire life. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Jill M. Brashaw on August 13, 1977 in Stockton, IL. Pat started his own business, Badger Machine, and became a successful businessman. Pat also built a successful carwash and managed many rental properties in his hometown.Pat is survived by his wife Jill at home; his mother Dorothy Heim of Shullsburg; his children: Ashley (Bobby Tyler) Heim and Jenna Heim both of Madison, WI, Chad Heim of Mt. Horeb, WI, Lindsey (Mitch) Wendling of Manchester, IA, and Paige (Jason Flamiatos) Heim of Madison; his grandchildren: Ethan, Evan, Ja'Ron, Owen, Cayden, Chance, and Cayson; two brothers: Michael Heim of South Wayne, WI and Mark Heim of Shullsburg; his mother-in-law: Ruth Brashaw; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Tim Brashaw, Terry (Sally) Brashaw, Mark (Karen) Brashaw, Patti (Chuck) Jackson, and Nancy Brashaw; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: John "Bruno" Heim; one brother: Bruce Heim; a brother-in-law: Paul Brashaw; and his father-in-law: Burrell Brashaw.Pat was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and volunteered at Saint Vincent DePaul in Shullsburg. Pat was very active in the community of Shullsburg - proudly serving on the city council for a number of years. He was always willing to help someone who needed help and did so without hesitation. In his free time, Pat enjoyed 4-wheeling, boating, and working on anything with a motor. He was known by many for his ability to fix just about anything.Pat's pride and joy was his family. He made sure his children and his grandchildren knew how much he loved them and how proud he was of each of them. He cherished the time he spent with them creating memories they will all remember forever.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church (344 N. Judgement St., Shullsburg) with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery in Shullsburg. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg. The Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is serving the family.
