James A. "Jimmy" Schlough passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at his shop with his loving wife Ally by his side.A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11:00 at Jimmy's Shop (N 3939 Klondike Rd, Monroe WI 53566). The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family.THE LAST RIDE HOMEThose that knew Jimmy Schlough know that life for him had many challenges; many obstacles to overcome. He rode the bumpy road. He struggled within himself to cut his own path and emerge back into the race ready to challenge and surprise you right up until the end.He loved speed, metal and customizing. His talents for figuring out a cool design to make something better, or neater was noted by many. In his later years, he was proud to be a transplant survivor. To tell people they could overcome strife.He cheated death, long enough to see many of his dreams come true.

May 12th - Jimmy went to UW & they told us he had an incurable aggressive cancer. He told them, "Ok I heard you. If you can't do nothing. Then I'm going home. Burning daylight here. Might be able to get a little riding in." They talked him into staying to see the radiation doctors. He finished a round of full brain radiation on June 2nd. While it was successful, the cancer had already overtaken the rest of his body. The most painful part was in his bones; though he continued to live each day as full as he could. So sorry for your loss, haven't seen Jim in years but he used to spend alot of time at my old shop, Performance Parts Unlimited. He asked tons of questions. I knew he was going to be good mechanic. Brings back alot of memories. Jeff Lanz

Jimmy’s Celebration of Life (July 10th, 2021): Service and Last Ride Home – were made special by everyone in attendance. Jimmy’s family would like to thank everyone for attending, sharing their memories with us, and for all the help that we received on Saturday. Jimmy will be interned at Woodlawn Cemetery in Argyle Wis. (His resting place – will be marked in the spring’22. Entering at the archway, front right. Mid – way down.)
