Lauri Erickson

Lauri A. Erickson, age 60 of Argyle, WI passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her home in Argyle after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 12, 1961 in Darlington, WI the daughter of Donald and Patsy (Henningsen) Gille. Lauri grew up in Gratiot, WI where she went on to graduate from Black Hawk High School. After graduation, Lauri was united in marriage to her best friend, Larry "Oscar" Erickson on October 6, 1979 at Yellowstone Lutheran Church in rural Argyle. After their marriage Lauri and Larry moved to Argyle to raise their family and have resided since. Lauri is survived by her husband Larry at home; her father: Donald Gille of rural Shullsburg, WI; her children: Eric Erickson of Monroe, WI, Corey (Angelica) Erickson of Mineral Point, WI, and Olivia (Dustin) Royce of Blanchardville, WI; her grandchildren: Mariah, Sylvia, Nathan, Sophia, Marley, Hunter, Axel, Oakley, Remi, and Chris; one brother: Kevin (Lauri) Gille of South Wayne, WI; two sisters: Debbie (Mick) Singer of Machesney Park, IL, and Mary Lou (Rob) Schultz of Merrimac, WI; her mother-in-law: Mary Erickson of Blanchardville; several nieces and nephews; and one special great-grand-pup: Maddy. She was preceded in death by her mother Patsy; one daughter in infancy; two brothers: Randy Gille and Tim Gille; one grandson: Colt Royce; and her father-in-law: Dwayne Erickson. Lauri was a member of Yellowstone Lutheran Church in rural Argyle. She loved horseback riding and going on several different trail rides every year. She was also a very talented acrylic painter and loved to share her painting with her family and friends. Her family was everything to her, and she cherished the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Yellowstone Lutheran Church (4472 Saints Road, Blanchardville 53516) with Rev. Daniel Bohlman officiating. Burial will be in Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee St) in Argyle.
