David Chambers

David W. "Dave" Chambers, age 68 of Darlington, WI passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born June 15, 1953 at St. Joseph's Maternity Hospital in Houston, TX the son of Frank and Gene (Whitt) Chambers. Dave grew up in Westbury, TX and graduated from Westbury High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, Dave began working in the food service industry. During that time Dave married his best friend, Donna M. Paulson on June 20, 1992 at Westbury Baptist Church in Westbury. In 1994, Dave and Donna moved to Darlington where they raised their family. Dave began working for Lands End as a return specialist until his retirement. Dave is survived by his wife Donna at home; his daughters: Angelica Chambers of Austin, TX, Christine (Shawn) Keeter of Mayflower, AR, Lisa (Mark) Ruf of Fayette, WI, and Tami (Jeremy) Bass of New Diggings, WI; his grandchildren: Brendan Chambers, Sydney, Devon, Timothy, Andrew, and Courtlyn Keeter, Michael, Jacob, and Matthew Ruf, Austin Adams, and Jazlyn Nielsen; two brothers: Michael Chambers and Jim Chambers both of Houston, TX; and two sisters: Linda Chambers-Retz and Carol Chambers both of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: David W. Chambers Jr.; and one sister: Nancy Chambers. Dave was proud of the time he spent in the United States Army getting to travel to various different places. In his free time, Dave enjoyed reading and listening to classical music. He had a passion for cooking and was very good at it. He cherished the time he spent with his family creating memories they will all remember forever. A private family memorial service will be held at Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington, WI with Rev. Nick McElrath of First Baptist Church in Darlington officiating.
