For Jerry and Family, I’m a cousin of Marjorie, 20 months younger than her. Our branch of the family moved to California in 1955 and I have returned only twice since then. My memory of Marjorie is from those much younger years. Our families would share Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at one of the five sons or daughters of our grandparents. They were always joyful occasions. The visits to Uncle Herman and Aunt Gladys’s farm were special. The pies were delicious. The cousins were roughly in three age groups, an older, middle, and younger. I was in the middle and always thought of Marjorie being in the older, more mature group. She was kind to us young’uns, smart and self-assured. She had an inner strength about her that earned respect. Of course, all of my cousins have the same qualities – might run in the families. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with you. Sharing in grief, Cousin Donald Peter
