Eileen Barth

Eileen R. Barth, age 93 of Darlington, WI passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born August 3, 1928 in Darlington the daughter of Charles and Eleanore (Poppa) Pickett. Eileen grew up in Darlington where she graduated from Darlington High School in 1946. On February 3, 1948 she was united in marriage to Harold F. Barth at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Darlington. Following her marriage, she lived in Janesville, WI, Stockton, IL, and Sauk City, WI, until returning to Darlington in 2000. Eileen is survived by her children: Steven (Christine) Barth of Carmel, CA, and Eric (Joan) Barth of Sauk City, WI; her grandchildren: Gerald (Julie) Prine, Jeremy Brakke, Heather Barth, and Thomas (Stephanie) Barth; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Betty Merriam and Beverly Martin; a son-in-law: Chuck (Dawn Shawcross) Gratz; and a special niece: Nancy (Craig) Galhouse. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; one son: James Barth; a daughter: Chris Gratz; a grandson: Tim Prine; three sisters: Iva Kammerud, Marion Hocking, and Eleanore Erickson; and three brothers: Raymond Pickett, Robert Pickett, and Roger Pickett. Eileen was a member of Darlington United Methodist Church in Darlington and was a past choir member. She was proud to sing in every church choir she ever belonged to. She once sang for Lawrence Welk. If she wasn't singing she was dancing. She loved every thing about music and was proud to share her many talents. Eileen cherished the time she spent with her family - especially her grandchildren creating memories they will all remember forever. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Darlington United Methodist Church (546 Park Place, Darlington) with Rev. InSun Lee officiating. A visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the Darlington United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery at a later date.
