Lisa Briggs

Lisa L. Briggs, age 55 of Gratiot, WI passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born January 19, 1966 in Hazel Green, WI the daughter of Robert Keene and Linda (Hammel) Keene. Lisa grew up in Lena, IL where she graduated from Lena High School. Following high school, Lisa received her certificate as a CNA and began working in the medical field. She raised her family in Martintown, WI and lived in the Southern Wisconsin area her entire life. On October 24, 2012 she was united in marriage to Howard Briggs. He preceded her in death in 2020. Lisa is survived by her parents: Robert Keene of Freeport, IL and Linda Keene of Lena, IL her children: Lacey (Ray) Pickett of Gratiot, Amanda (Harley) Lancaster of Stockton, IL, Travis Paul of Lancaster, WI, and Lindsey Fox of Dubuque, IA; 13 grandchildren; one brother: Troy (Sheila) Keene of Lena, IL; one sister: Ann Marchese of Monroe, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; one brother: Joe Keene; her paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents; and two beloved dogs: Payne & Sassy. Lisa enjoyed the outdoors spending time fishing, hunting, and showing her dogs. She loved to go on adventures with her grandchildren, and was always cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers. Lisa loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. She always made sure they knew how proud she was of them and how much she loved them. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A Celebration of Lisa's life will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021 beginning at 12:00 P.M. at Annie's Bar and Grill (300 Washing St., Darlington).
