Sherry (Foley) Venson, age 48 of Darlington, WI passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 20, 1973 in Darlington, WI the daughter of Norman and Janice (Foley) Foley. Sherry grew up in Darlington where she graduated from Darlington High School in 1990. She was united in marriage to her best friend, Jeremy Venson on May 8, 2004 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington.Sherry is survived by her husband Jeremy at home; her brothers: John Foley of Darlington, Tom (Erin) Foley of Bartlett, IL, and David (Amanda Pedley) Foley of rural Shullsburg, WI; her sister: Sharon (Jose Luis) Cruz of Darlington; one foster brother: Gary (Jeanne) Scace of Monticello, WI.; several nieces and nephews; and her very special friends: Jody Noble, Mindy Swanson, Norah Swanson and Elizabeth Rood. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Paul Foley; her grandmothers: Delores Armstrong Foley and Dorothy Cullen Foley; and a grandfathers: Paul Foley and John Foley.Sherry was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. She cherished the time she spent with her family - especially her nieces and nephews creating memories they will cherish forever. She also had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, taking care of and loving many different animals throughout her life. Sherry was also known for her collection of M&M's she attained throughout the years. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by family and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet St., Darlington) with Fr. Luke Syse officiating. Burial will be in Saint Peters Cemetery in rural Cuba City, WI. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Sherry's name.

Words cannot fill the void. Sherry always had a smile and a kind word for everyone even while she was in pain. Heaven gained another Angel!! The Foley Reunions were always a fun time. Sherry would go from table to table greeting everyone and making sure all were welcome. Finally at peace and with her loved ones in heaven. Until we meet again Sherry, dance and sing.
