Brian Lancaster

Brian E. Lancaster, 49, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his home in Darlington, WI after courageous battle of cancer. He was born on October 8, 1972, in Darlington, to Gerald "Gary" Lancaster and Wauneta (Duval) Lancaster. Growing up and living in Darlington his whole life, Brian attended school in Darlington where he graduated in 1991. He had his own carpentry business and he enjoyed doing carpentry work alongside his father for many years.Brian is survived by his mother, Wauneta Lancaster of Darlington; his daughter, Mikayla Hanson of Blanchardville, WI; his grand-dog, Blue; siblings: Brenda (Justin) Cook of rural Shullsburg, WI, Vicky (Jeff) Barr of Carsonville, MI, Peg (Roy) Booms of Minden City, MI, Paul (Valerie) Lancaster of Forestville, MI, Jeff (Traci) Lancaster of Darlington, Alan (Mary) Lancaster of Monroe, WI, Jay (Peggy) Lancaster of Darlington, Terry (Judy) Lancaster of Black Earth, WI, Rita (Mark) Bentzen of La Crosse, WI, Ruth (Joe) Zitzner of Viroqua, WI, Rhonda Pehl of Argyle, WI, and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Lancaster; one brother, Mark; and many aunts and uncles.Brian was a member of the Darlington Fire Department for 7 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and building things with his hands. Brian lived his life to the fullest and cherished the memories that he made with his families and friends. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor InSun Lee officiating. Burial will be at a later date. A visitation will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Darlington United Methodist Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
