Obituary
Dorothy Ann Isely, age 84 passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving morning, November 25, 2021, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. She was born on August 9,1937 the daughter of Orville and Alice (Lorenz) Shepherd.She was united in marriage to Roger Olson on November 9, 1957 and later to Roger Isely on July 31, 2010. Dorothy enjoyed her work at MHLC for several years, where she forged many friendships before retiring in 2012. She was a member of Argyle Lutheran Church and the Shullsburg chapter of Eastern Star. Dorothy is survived by her husband Roger Isely of rural Argyle. Three children Lisa (Ted) Sauer, Mark Olson, Jon (Kelly) Olson and son-in-law Steve Vos, seven grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. She is further survived by her stepchildren Troy Connors, Brad Connors, Kristine (Gerald) Wahl, and Michelle (Scott) Hauser, eleven step-grandchildren; four step-great- grandchildren; and two sisters: Joan Breitzman and Sue (Bruce) McClain. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved daughters Melody Vos, Debra Olson, Theresa Olson, and her daughter-in-law Tanyia Olson. Dorothy was an avid Packers fan and could be heard cheering the loudest at her grandchildren's sporting events. Dorothy was a caregiver to all and was happiest when she was helping others. Family was the most important to her and her love will always be in our hearts. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Argyle Lutheran Church (100 East St., Argyle) with Rev. Daniel Bohlman officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Argyle Lutheran Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Dorothy's name. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe for the excellent care Dorothy received while she was there.

Have too many memories of Dorothy to share, my first memory is when she moved into a room in my Grandma Jacobson’s home before her marriage and working at The hospital in Darlington. I’ve loved/like Dorothy since the first day I met her.
