Francine Quesnell

Francine Marie Quesnell, age 71 of Gratiot, WI, passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 14, 2022. She was born on May 28, 1950, the daughter of Frank Bernard Czaja and Emily Sienkiewicz. Growing up in Chicago, she attended school for 12 years where she graduated from Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School in 1968. In 1981 Francine met the love of her life, Paul Quesnell. In 1986, they were united in marriage in Las Vegas and began their lives journey together. Their first home as a married couple was in Elgin, IL where they lived for 12 years. In 1999, Francine and Paul moved to Cuba City, WI where they lived 9 years until building their dream home in rural Gratiot.Francine is survived by her husband Paul at home; her sisters: Carol Schmall of Marengo, IL and Patsy Siock of Greenville, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Bernard Czaja and Emily Sienkiewicz.Francine loved to garden and had a green thumb, growing beautiful gardens that could be enjoyed all summer long. She had an eye for antiques and enjoyed collecting various items, especially depression glass. Francine and Paul loved to travel together. They traveled all over the world including Italy, France, China, and Japan to name a few. They also enjoyed going on motorcycle trips all over the United States. She also had a love for dogs, especially German Shepherds. The memories they created together will be cherished and fondly remembered. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.A visitation for Francine Quesnell will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington, WI (508 Park Place, Darlington).
