Kathleen Rockey

Kathleen S. "Kathy" Rockey, age 78 of Orangeville, IL formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born October 2, 1943 in Monroe, WI the daughter of Raymond and Ruth Ann (Thompson) Steiner. Kathy grew up in Argyle where she graduated from Argyle High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Roy R. Rockey in 1967 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Argyle. Together they moved to Orangeville where she spent 20 years as a cook at the Orangeville Grade School. Kathy is survived by her husband Roy at home; her children: Jeff (Tim Heaslip) Rockey of Monticello, WI, Sherri Rockey of Orangeville, and Shelly Rockey of Orangeville; one sister: Mary (Rolyn) Hermanson of Fitchburg, WI; a brother-in-law: Carlos Rockey of Machesney Park, IL; three sisters-in-law: Barbara Anderson, Roberta Hutting, and Shirley Doner all of Pecatonica, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister: Nathalie Stephens. Kathy was a member of St. Victor's Catholic Church in Monroe, WI. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, designing flower arrangements, and bowling. She was one of the best cooks around and took pride in cooking meals for her family and friends. Her family meant the world to her and she cherished every moment she spent with them. Kathy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Per Kathy's wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Argyle with Fr. Michael Johnson of St. Joseph's Catholic Church a branch of St. Isidore Parish residing.
