I met and worked with Thomas at Ruef's Sanitation/Al's Trucking when I was a 19 year old kid. I always called him Thomas. He told me about growing up on a farm only a mile away from where our family grew up. Thomas taught me lots of things about truck mechanics and also was a great mentor and friend, even offering fatherly advice at times and helping me mature. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and a word of encouragement for me if he thought I needed it. It is a pleasure to call him a friend and I will always remember him.
