Theresa Garrison

Theresa A. Garrison, age 86 of Argyle, WI passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. She was born September 5, 1936 in Iowa County, Wisconsin the daughter of Thomas and Kathryn (Tonkin) Burns. Theresa grew up in Blanchardville, WI until moving to Monroe, WI where she worked as a nurses aid until the mid 60's. She was united in marriage to Sanford M. Garrison on February 9, 1957 in Blanchardville. Following her marriage, Theresa and Sanford lived in the Lafayette County area until moving to the Garrison family farm in 1964 before moving to the village of Argyle in 1989. Theresa is survived her children: Kathy (Ronnie) Ritschard of rural Monticello, WI, Constance (Jerry) Pittz of Cedarburg, WI, Duane (Julie) Garrison of Monticello, and Diane Garrison of Argyle; her grandchildren: Cassondra and Delaney Pittz, Ashley (Chris) Shambrook, Jordan (Lucas) Marty and Jessie Garrison; her great-grandchildren: Madison, Lacey, Brayden, and Emma Shambrook. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Sanford on March 27, 2002; two sisters: Mary Torkelson and Barbara Kohl and a special nephew: Kurt Siegenthaler. Theresa was a waitress at the Norseman Supper Club in Argyle for 45 years. While she was there, she formed many special bonds with her customers and created many friendships throughout the years. She was also an avid card player, always enjoying her Wednesday Euchre games at the Argyle EMS building. She cherished the time she spent with her family creating memories they will all remember forever. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee St., Argyle) Rev. Daniel Bohlman of Apple Grove/Argyle/Yellowstone Lutheran Churches officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Argyle. A visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle.
