Cheryl McGuire

Cheryl A. McGuire, age 64 of Darlington, WI passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born January 17, 1958 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Melvin and Teresa (Kammerude) Donar. Cheryl grew up in Cuba City, WI where she graduated from Cuba City High School. Following graduation, Cheryl moved to Darlington where she worked at the Lafayette County Manor for several years as a CNA, provided home care for many years; and raised her family. Cheryl is survived by her children: Travis (Jen Peters) McGuire and Krista (Chris) McGuire both of Darlington and Dylan (Katelyn Miller) McGuire of Stitzer, WI; her grandchildren that she absolutely adored: Taya and Rielly McGuire; her brothers: Donald (Debra) Donar, Charles (Paula) Donar, Jerry (Jane) Donar, Mark (Joyce) Donar, and Scott (Carla) Donar all of Cuba City, Dan Donar of Platteville, WI, and Chris (Shawna) Donar of Benton, WI; her sisters: Sue (John) Dalsing and Teri (Carl) Pickel both of Kieler, WI, and Lisa (Mark) Wright of Benton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her best friend: Tim McGuire; and three brothers: Ronald Donar, Dale Donar, and Jeffrey Donar. Cheryl was so proud of her children and grandchildren and always made sure they knew she was there to help them, guide them, and love them through any situation in life. She enjoyed gambling, shopping, and ranger rides. She never turned down an opportunity to spend time with her friends and family and socialize with them. Cheryl will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington).
