Annette Johnson

Annette K. Johnson, age 82 of rural Shullsburg, WI passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Delevan Health Services in Delevan, WI. She was born March 7, 1940 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Hubert and Ruth (Goodall) Abernathy. Annette grew up in Sharon, WI until moving to Harvard, IL in 1969. She was united in marriage to Carl A. Johnson on July 21, 1956 in Walworth, WI. In 1993, she moved to Shullsburg where she has resided since. In 1997, Annette began working for Lands End where she worked as a Trimmer Trainer for 17 years until retiring in 2014. Annette is survived by her children: Thomas (Vista) Johnson of Mukwonago, WI, Todd (Wanda) Johnson of Hebron, IL, Timothy (Gayle) Johnson of Harvard, IL, Tracy (Shannon) Johnson of Capron, IL, Trudy (Jeff) McNish of Hebron, IL, Tammy (Jeff) Connolly of Muskego, WI, and Tricia (Cory) Olson of Milwaukee, WI; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters: Julia (Jim) Wilkins of Delevan, WI and LaVerna Deering of Poplar Grove, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl; one granddaughter in infancy; one brother: Wayne Abernathy; and one sister: Sandra. Annette enjoyed watching Bethel Lutheran Church on TV on Sunday mornings. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren creating memories they will all remember forever. In her free time, Annette loved tending to her vegetable and flower gardens and when she couldn't be outside liked to can and sew. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington). A graveside service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Highland Garden of Memories, Inc in Belvidere, IL.
