Ramona Flesher

Ramona J. Flesher, age 93 passed away peacefully at the Lafayette County Manor on March 5, 2023. She was born January 26, 1930 the daughter of Clarence and Stella Irene (Cary) Mill in Shullsburg, WI. She graduated high school from Shullsburg in the class of 1948 and went on to obtain a degree in cosmetology from Madison Beauty School in 1949. After school she married Don Flesher at the Methodist Church in Darlington on November 25, 1950. Don and Ramona lived on the farm in Seymour Township later moving into the city of Darlington. Ramona worked at Allure Beauty Shop and Shear Madness in Darlington. She also worked at Lands End seasonally for a number of years. She is survived by her children: Lana (Phil) Bryson, Ron (Rita) Flesher, Barb (Scott) Siegenthaler, Lisa (Jack) Sauer all of Darlington and Jack (Joni) Flesher of Monroe, WI. ; her grandchildren: Brad and Josh Bryson, Carinne (Doug) McGowan, Laura (Heath) Smith, Emily (Ryan) Weier, Cedric (Meranda) Flesher, Brandon (Danielle) Burke, Hailey (J) Herbst, Brock (Erica) Sauer, Hilary (Kyle) Nethery, Lexie (Matt) Frey and Abby Flesher; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law Phyllis Blackbourn of Cuba City, WI. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband Don in 2020, and one sister-in-law Joyce Hinkins. Ramona was a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church and the Wimodaughsis Eastern Star Lodge in Darlington. She loved gardening and enjoyed everything about flowers. Oil painting was another hobby and you could find her beautiful creations hanging all around their house. She was incredibly talented musically playing the accordion, piano, and guitar. Ramona especially loved her family, and loved to sit and watch all the little grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Darlington United Methodist Church with Rev. InSun Lee officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
