Carol MacNaughton

Carol A. MacNaughton, age 72, of Shullsburg, WI passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Lafayette County Manor in Darlington, WI. She was born January 13, 1951, in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Edmund and Goldie (Pickle) Eggers. She graduated from Southwestern High School in Hazel Green, WI. She was united in marriage to Donald D.E. MacNaughton on August 14, 1971, at Immaculate Conception in Kieler, WI. They lived on various military bases throughout the United States from 1971 - 1979 before returning to Shullsburg where they have resided since. Carol is survived by her husband: Donald D.E. MacNaughton; two sons: Donny (Brenda) MacNaughton and Adam (Amanda) MacNaughton, two grandchildren: Amelia and Grayden; one brother: Ron Eggers; and one sister: Louise (Greg) Andrews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; one son David; her grandparents: Lawrence and Lucille Pickle; one brother: Cletus Eggers; and two sisters-in-law: Joann Eggers and Linda Eggers. Carol was a member of the Shullsburg American Legion Auxillary and the Lafayette County Homemakers. In her free time, Carol enjoyed knitting, doing puzzle books, and reading. She also thoroughly enjoyed her occasional trips to the Casino. Carol also liked to visit with her family and friends at the local restaurants and share stories over a hot cup of coffee. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A prayer service will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
