I have known the Ruf family my whole life and was sadden to hear this news. My condolences to the whole family. The obituary's fourth paragraph describes accurately perfectly. Brian was our milk tester in the 1980s and we got to know him really well while spending 3 hours a month visiting while we milked. Rich, Joe and I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon about 6 years ago stopping at a couple of watering holes before settling in to play cards. It was a very fun afternoon and we got to really catch up. A month ago I ran into him at PG&CC which gave me the opportunity to have another nice visit. Whomever phrased "the good only die young" knew Brian well!
