David Bohlman

David T. Bohlman, age 91 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He was born in Eland, Wisconsin on October 25, 1932, the son of Arthur and Ruth Bohlman. David graduated from Wittenberg High School in 1950 and went into the United States Navy where he served for four years. David returned to Wisconsin and married Jean Zeinert in 1956 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Wittenberg WI. The couple moved to Merrill, WI, where David entered the Wisconsin State Patrol academy in Fort McCoy. After a number of promotions, David and Jean moved to Madison Wisconsin where he worked for many years in the Department of Motor Vehicles, retiring in 1989. David is survived by his children: Beth (Bob) Naughton of Woodlands, Texas. Dan (Ann) Bohlman of Argyle, WI., and Tom (Peggy) Bohlman of Madison. David has six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Jean, three brothers Arthur George, Paul and John and one sister, Rosalie. David was a faithful church member and after his move to Oakwood Village, he sat on the board for a number of years. With Jean, the two went on countless cruises and other vacations to see the world. At home, David loved doing yard work and working on his house. He enjoyed rebuilding motorcycles and went on a number of motorcycle trips. In his later years his interest moved to computers where he build his own from scratch. A private service for David will be held at a later date in Birnamwood WI, where he will be laid to rest beside his wife, Jean.
