Ronald Chase

Ronald L. "Ron" Chase, age 81, of Darlington, WI, formerly of Baraboo/Reedsburg, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Lafayette Manor in Darlington. He was born January 13, 1943, in Columbia, South Carolina, the son of Walter and Shirley (Barron) Chase. Ron graduated from Tomah High School in Tomah, WI, and moved to Camp Douglas where he lived for 43 years, until moving to Reedsburg, and later to Baraboo. Ron cherished the time he worked and the friendships he made at Shutters Grocery in Tomah for 20 years and then Darrows Grocery in Baraboo for 10 years. Ron is survived by his brother: Rick (Kathy) Chase of Benton, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: Jim Chase in 2006. Ron was a proud friend of Bill W. for 33 years. He worked at Circus Museum in Baraboo as a volunteer for many years. He enjoyed going to the Crystal grand for music performances, playing cards and cribbage, and always cheered on the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held at a later date. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
