Marjorie A. Baldwin age 67 of Darlington, WI passed away January 14, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on August 1, 1957, in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Joseph and Marjorie Cecil. She attended school in Galesburg and graduated from Galesburg High School. She married the love of her life Alan Baldwin on March 19, 1977, at St. Augustine, IL. They had spent almost 50 loving years together. Following their marriage Marjorie moved to Darlington and continued her education at Southwest Technical College. Over the years Marjorie worked at Lands End in Dodgeville, WI and later at Microswitch in Warren, IL. She is survived by her loving husband, Alan Baldwin of Darlington, Siblings: Gladys (Paul) Hostetler of Georgia, Martha Johanson of Florida, Catherine (David) Bainbridge of Illinois, Daniel Cecil of Texas, Bernard Cecil of Texas, and Francis Cecil of Illinois along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Marjorie Cecil, one brother in infancy: Joseph K. Cecil, Brothers: William J. Cecil and Anthony L. Cecil and sisters: Mary Mckee and Patrician Henderson. Marjorie was a very caring and happy person. Her unique laughter brought light and joy to everyone around her. She enjoyed cooking and painting ceramic figures. Her biggest priority was the care of her cat, Doodles and her dog, Copper. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 17, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St. Darlington). A visitation will be held Monday, February 17, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home in Darlington. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. An additional memorial service will be held. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (245 S 9th St, Warsaw, IL 62379) on Monday, April 17, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Marjorie's name.
