Scott Stamm

Scott A. Stamm age 58, of Argyle, WI passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born September 21, 1966 in Darlington, WI the son of Bennie Jr. and Alice (Reed) Stamm. Scott grew up in rural Blanchardville, WI and attended Argyle High School. Following High School, Scott followed his passion for the outdoors and began guiding Elk hunts for an outfitting company in Meeker Co. A few years later he moved back to Wisconsin to pursue another passion of his, logging. Scott started Stamm Logging services where he enjoyed the solitude of the work and the relationships he had made. Loging was seasonal work for Scott so to pass the time he became a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. Scott is survived by his two daughters: Spencer and Sadie Stamm both of Janesville, WI; his father: Bennie Stamm Jr. of rural Blanchardville; the mother of his children: Stacey Meehan; two special cousins: Matt and Cody Stamm and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother: Alice Stamm; paternal grandparents: Bennie Sr. and Jennette Stamm and his maternal grandparents: Glen and Mable Reed. Scott was a member of Yellow Stone Lutheran Church in rural Blanchardville, a lifetime member of the Argyle Rod and Gun Club and an active member of the Wisconsin Tappers Association. At a young age Scott was drawn to the outdoors and throughout his life he pursued his passion. He enjoyed hunting game of all kinds but was especially fond of the family hunting trips to Colorado hunting Elk. He was an avid fisherman and cherished the time he spent in northern Wisconsin fishing at the Stamm Cabin with family and friends. He also appreciated the challenge of trapping and would walk the trap line religiously to make sure nothing was out of place. When he wasn't outdoors, Scott spent time in the kitchen cooking his famous pot roast and was known to make the perfect breakfast for his two daughters. He also enjoyed canning jams and salsa and making homemade maple syrup. In the evenings Scott's favorite pastime was to sit by the campfire and tell stories about the wonderful memories he had made and the occasional tall tale. Though Scott had many adventures throughout his life, the best times were spent with his two daughters making memories only a father and his daughters can make. Memories that they will cherish forever. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Yellowstone Lutheran Church (4472 Saints Road Blanchardville, WI 53516) at 11:00AM with Rev. Daniel Bohlman presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle, WI is serving the family.
