Obituary
Dana Jane Peterson, age 31, of Darlington, WI, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at her home in Darlington. She was born December 4, 1992, in Dodgeville, WI, the daughter of Brian Peterson and Cathy Parkinson. Dana lived in Darlington her entire life and graduated from Darlington High School in 2012. She spent several years working at Piggly Wiggly in Darlington where she formed many friendships she held dear to her heart. Dana is survived by her mother: Cathy Parkinson of Darlington; her father: Brian Peterson of Blanchardville, WI; her brothers: Kyle Peterson of Blanchardville, Kurt (Dani) Peterson of Medford, WI and Peter Peterson of Darlington; her nieces and nephews: Ryder and Summer Peterson, and Elizabeth "Birdie" Peterson; her uncles: Steve Parkinson, Peter J. Parkinson, Brent Peterson, and Greg Peterson; several cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Peter and Millie Parkinson; her paternal grandparents: Gordon and Norma Peterson; and her aunts and uncle: Nancy (Joe) Kern, Bruce Peterson, and Vickie Peterson. Dana was a member of Fayette United Methodist Church in rural Darlington. when she wasn't working, Dana enjoyed watching movies, playing Left, Right, Center with her mom and friends. Dana was a big Darlington Redbird fan and loved going to ball games with her Grandpa Pete. Dana was quiet by nature, but loved to socialize and spend time with her friends creating memories they will all cherish forever. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Fayette United Methodist Church (11031 Cty Hwy F Darlington, Wisconsin, 53530) with Rev. InSun Lee officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Fayette United Methodist Church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established in Dana's name.

Dana had the best laugh and smile. I will hold dear our time spent growing up together, going out to lunch, and listening to her favorite songs in the car. She was a dear friend and will be greatly missed.
