Teresa Tucker

Teresa L. Tucker, age 65, of Monroe, WI, formerly of Darlington, WI, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at her home in Monroe. She was born September 27, 1959, in Platteville, WI, the daughter of Harlis and Evelyn (Gross) Edge. Teresa grew up in the Darlington and Shullsburg areas where she attended school. She then moved to Monroe and married her best friend; Tad Marvin Tucker Jr., on May 20, 1989 at Lamont United Methodist Church in rural Darlington. After their marriage, they moved to Whitewater, WI for several years where she lived until moving back to Monroe in 2022. Teresa is survived by her father: Harlis in Darlington; siblings: Harley Edge of Madison, Dennis Edge of Honey Grove, TX, Cindy Edge Millard of Dodgeville, WI, Michael (Lena) Edge of Petty, TX, Robert Edge of Orfordville, WI, and Kevin (Christina) Edge of Lena, IL; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law: Laurie Williams of Milton, WI, Bryan (Vicki) Tucker of Whitewater, WI, Rick (Robin) Tucker of Milton, WI, Pam (Dave) Collins of Milton, WI, Tammy (Chris) Varela of Janesville, WI; Verne Tucker of Edgerton, WI. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband Tad Tucker Jr. in 2022; sister: Tena Edge; nephews: Dylan Edge, Levi Edge, Ethen Edge, and Casey Edge; and grandmother: Florence (Gross) Bennett. Teresa's life was a celebration of the outdoors. Her love for camping, swimming, and boating was evident to all who knew her. A true water enthusiast, she spent countless hours water skiing, fishing, and tubing. Her summers were spent at Yellowstone Lake, where she basked in the sun, always barefoot, embracing the warm summer days. Her friends and family will fondly remember the parties she hosted, where her inability to cook was always a running joke, overshadowed by her skill at making fudge. Christmas was Teresa's favorite time of the year. The holidays and time spent with her family and friends was what she looked forward to the most. Teresa's three cats, Chase, Chasity, and Chatter, were her cherished companions. She shared a special bond with each of them, and their unique personalities were a constant source of amusement and comfort to her. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington) with Rev. Nick McElrath of First Baptist Church in Darlington officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
