Louis Burris

Louis Burris, age 77, of Darlington, wi passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 in Darlington. He was born June 7, 1947 in Darlington, WI the son of James and Francelia (Fields) Burris. Louis lived in the Darlington area most of his life and graduated from Gratiot High School in Gratiot, WI. Louis is survived by his siblings: Jim (Diane) Burris of Stockton, IL, Dan Burris of Darlington, George (Wendy) Burris of Shullsburg, WI, Stanley (Cookie) Burris of Hawkins, WI, Pat (Ron) Broge of Shullsburg, Lavonn (Mike) Dilulio of Mecosta, MI, and Rodney Burris of Janesville, WI; two sons: Jamie (Betty) Burris and David Burris; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Timothy Burris; a granddaughter; Shyanne Burris; and sister-in-law: Becky Burris. Louis enjoyed gambling, cruising through town to play the slots, playing euchre, fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers, Darlington Redbirds, and racing on TV. He always knew what story to share or joke to tell to put a smile on your face. Louis will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. A Celebration of Louis' Life will be held at a later date. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
