K. Jane Olson, age 76, of rural Darlington, WI, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at her home after a long battle with renal cell carcinoma with her family by her side. She was born May 4, 1948, in Dodgeville, WI, the daughter of Vernon and Amie (Seffrood) Smith. Jane grew up in the rural Darlington area her entire life and graduated from Darlington High School in 1966. The next year, in October of 1967, she married her best friend and soulmate, David Olson at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Together they lived in Lamont Township where they farmed and raised their family.

Jane is survived by her husband Dave at home; her children: Angie Jane (Chuck) Olson-Garvey, Scott (Kris Dalton) Olson, Dan (Natasha) Olson, and Amie (Timmy) O'Brien; 8 grandchildren; Derek (Cassie) Siegenthaler, Dylan (Jena) Siegenthaler, Janelle (Joel) Weller, Reese Olson, Porter Olson, Chloe Jane, Aubrey & Ellie O'Brien; 5 great-grandchildren; Ryker, Ada Jane, Paysen, Evelyn, Ann and a new arrival in March; two sisters: Judy Riley and Marge Lee; many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Jim smith; a sister: Marcene Vondra; and a son-in-law: Joel Meylor.

Jane was an incredibly talented individual who spent many years sharing her talents of interior decorating with those who entrusted her to decorate their homes. When she wasn't working on the farm or decorating, she enjoyed playing cards, traveling, gambling trips to the casino, and playing Mahjong. Her family was the single most important thing in Jane's life, and she always made sure they knew how proud she was of them. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington). A private family funeral service will be held at a later date with burial being held in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.

A memorial fund has been established in Jane's name.

My deepest condolences to the Olson family. Jane was an amazing woman. I will never forget her creativity or attention to detail. I remember her steadiness in walking alongside Amie when Joel passed. I also remember her hospitality when her house was bombarded with young girls for one of Amie's birthday parties. Praying for your family.

I have experienced many good times with Jane with our playing bid 500. She was always having fun when she had a deck of cards in her hand. Enjoying every minute of it, showing in her emotions and laughter. Also had a great time when the four card players took a short gambling trip. I have wonderful memories of her and the .beautiful smile that she carried for everyone she met. May you find peace in the memories of her and knowing she is at rest. God Bless
