Francis Erickson

Francis "Pete" Erickson, age 79 of Darlington, WI formerly of rural Blanchardville, WI passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Lafayette Manor in Darlington. He was born June 9, 1944 at home in Green County, WI the son of Milton and Gladys (Venden) Erickson Sr. Pete grew up in the Blanchardville area and graduated from Blanchardville High School. After high school, Pete farmed around Blanchardville until he moved to Darlington and worked at Federal Industries until his retirement. Pete is survived by his brother: Terry (Karen) Erickson; three sisters: Rae (Earl) Boeshaar, Linda (Bernie) Bernhardt, and Wendy (Ray) Spellman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Dwayne Erickson, Milton Erickson Jr., Stanley Erickson, and Jerry Erickson; and three sisters: Marcia Peterson, Gloria Treuthardt, and Shirley Barth. Though Pete had no children of his own, he had several 4-legged companions throughout the years that he absolutely adored, especially his dog Al. He enjoyed watching sports and any animal show on TV. Pete had many fun times in his life with both family and friends and he will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew him. Per Pete's wishes, no services will be held. A private family burial will be held in York Cemetery in Green County, Wisconsin at a later date. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family. The family would like to thank the staff at both Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Darlington and the Lafayette County Manor and Agrace Hospice for their wonderful care of Pete. They made it feel like home for Pete and he appreciated everyone's sense of humor.
