Scott Wilson

Scott M. Wilson, age 67 of rural Argyle, WI passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, WI. He was born June 30, 1956, in Darlington the son of Russell E. and Donna D. (McDonald) Wilson. Scott grew up in Darlington and graduated from Darlington High School. He was united in marriage to his best friend, Wendy Skatrud on November 27, 1982, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg. He spent his working years working for Monroe Truck in Monroe, WI as a salesman until he retired. Scott loved his job at Monroe Truck and the opportunities it gave him to meet new people, and travel to different states and countries throughout the years. Scott is survived by his daughter: Emily (Jeremy) Gratz; his grandson that he absolutely adored: Mack; his brother: Robert "Bob" Wilson; and one sister: Carla Potter. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Wendy in 2013; his in-laws: Glenn and Lois Skatrud; a brother-in-law: Terri Potter; and a niece: Danielle Skatrud. Scott was very passionate about music, more specifically playing the drums. He started playing as a kid and was in a band at the age of 15 until he started playing with his dad in the Russ Wilson band. He was always a passionate sports fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Packers, and the Badgers throughout the years. He also took great pride in his yard and could frequently be seen tending to it. The most important thing to Scott was his family, especially his grandson, Mack, who he always made sure to spend as much time with as possible. Scott made sure each one of his family members knew how much he loved them and how proud of them he was. A private family graveside service will be held at Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington, WI.
