Robert W. "Bob" Turner, age 80, of Monroe, WI passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Pleasant View Nursing home in Monroe. He was born October 20, 1944, in Charleston, SC, the son of Robert Sr. and Grace (Nelms) Turner. Bob was united in marriage to Betty L. Engebretson. He has lived in Monroe since 1978 where he worked at Armour Foods until 1986, and in 1989 he began working for Colony Brands until his retirement in 2010.

Bob is survived by his children: Lawrence (Kristyl) Turner of Albany, WI, Lance (Tricia) Turner of Juda, WI, Lewis (Laurie) Turner of Spring Green, WI, and Jackie (Carl Lewis) Turner of Monroe, WI; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty; and one son: Warren Turner in 1989. Bob was an avid sports fan, especially football, and loved to cheer on the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Dallas Cowboys. He also liked to be outside where he bonded with his 4-legged friends.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held this spring. The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bob's name.

Q: Did Robert have any pets? A: Bob loved all his 4 legged fur babies! He is now up in heaven playing frisbee with “Hunter”. After Hunter crossed the rainbow bridge, Bob and I were blessed to get Tucker. Tucker and Bob were in separable! Bob loved Bucky and Bear just as much! Not only did Bob have a love for the 4 legged fur babies he had a love for his birds! Bob was one of a kind! He would always say, “I’m the nicest asshole you’ll ever meet!” He would always carry peppermints and Hersey chocolates on him no matter what. Bob had a love for his music from oldies to hard rock.. forget the rap!! Bob loved his Snapchat and talking to all his friends and family! Bob was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved helping people! I will be grateful I was able to spend so much time with him, he will be forever missed!
