Years ago when Roger drove snow plows, I remember a night the roads were awful. As I turned onto Biggs Road, just 2 miles from home there was Roger with the plow at the top of the hill by his house and there were 2 or 3 cars in the ditch at the bottom of the hill by the town hall. Roger told me to pull over and wait until they had the cars out of the ditch & then he would tow me home. I had rear wheel drive on my car and I wasn’t going to make it home on my own. He did just that & I got home safe that night thanks to him. I’ll never forget his kindness. RIP!

As Roger's youngest sister I would ask him to take Angie and me to school on cold winter days. After some grumbling he would. A few years back I was feeling guilty and sent him $50.00 to reimburse him for the gas. He said , I don't remember that, but I am keeping the money. When our mom would cut his hair, he would give me a penny for sweeping it up. Well one day he gave me 2 pennies because I was so ugly. He did have a good sense of humor and a kind heart.
