Obituary
Patricia "Patty" Ann Wiegel, aged 53, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, at UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin after a short illness. Born December 22, 1972, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Eddie and Elizabeth (Bartels) Farrey. Patricia lived her entire life in Shullsburg and was a beloved member of the community.
Patricia graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1991 and furthered her education at Richland Center. She was employed as a Packaging Supervisor at Prairie Farms, where she was known for her dedication and expertise. Patricia’s career was marked by her commitment to excellence and caring for all of her employees.
On May 1, 2009, Patricia married Bradley Wiegel at the Lafayette County Courthouse, sharing a loving union that endured through the years. She found great joy in her family life and in the comforts of her home, where she cherished time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and animals. Patricia treasured her dog, Boe, now reunited with her in spirit.
Patricia’s hobbies and passions reflected a vibrant spirit: she loved riding UTVs, camping, shopping, and decorating her home for the holidays. She had a constant zest for life and was always on the go, fueled by an affectionate bond with her family and a love for creating a warm, welcoming environment.
She is survived by her husband, Bradley Wiegel; her daughter, McKenzie (Zachary Fluhr) McGranahan of Shullsburg, and step-daughter Ashley Werner of Cuba City; and her grandchildren, Noah Reeder and Maddox Werner. Patricia also leaves behind her mother, Elizabeth Farrey; her siblings: Gary (Sue) Farrey, Pam Hammel, and Matthew Woodward; along with sisters and brothers-in-law: Lynn (Randy) Randecker, Deb (Harry) Blackbourn, Jeff (Vicki) Wiegel, Mike (Penny) Wiegel, and Tracy Wiegel. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Robert Farrey; her brothers: Brady, Billy, Tim Farrey, and Michael Woodward; and her brother-in-law: Denny Hammel and her in-laws: Glen and Evelyn Wiegel.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026 at the Erickson Funeral Home (235 N. Judgement St.) in Shullsburg, WI. The Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is assisting the family.
Patricia will be fondly remembered for her warm heart, cheerful spirit, and everlasting love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
