Obituary

Stephanie Lynn Schadewalt, age 67, of Milton, Wisconsin, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, July 12, 2026, in Green Bay, Wisconsin with her family by her side.

Born on January 12, 1959, in Darlington, Wisconsin, Stephanie was the daughter of Walter and Janice (Smith) Schadewalt. She grew up in Wiota, where she embraced country life from an early age. Whether helping on the family farm, caring for dairy cattle, or proudly showing them at county and state fairs, Stephanie developed the strong work ethic and adventurous spirit that would stay with her throughout her life.

A 1977 graduate of Darlington High School, Stephanie continued her education at both Blackhawk Technical College and Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. She built a career in the construction industry, working in bookkeeping and clerical positions, most recently with Bachmann's Pool and Spa. She was dependable, organized, and someone her coworkers could always count on.

Stephanie was the kind of person who made life more fun. She had a carefree spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, and an infectious laugh that could brighten any room. She loved spending time with family and friends, never passing up an opportunity to make memories, share stories, or simply enjoy the company of those she loved. Her competitive side came out at the pool table, where she became an accomplished player, earning first-place finishes in numerous tournaments. Whether she was joking with friends, celebrating life's little moments, or taking on a new challenge, Stephanie lived life on her own terms and encouraged others to do the same.

She is survived by her siblings, Heidi (Len Harris) Linden of Green Bay, Wisconsin, John (Beth) Schadewalt of New Glarus, Wisconsin, and Kurt (Julie Lemsky) Schadewalt of Belleville, Wisconsin; and by her beloved nieces and nephews, Jared (Carly Marinaro) Linden of Villas, New Jersey, Mitchell Schadewalt of New Glarus, Wisconsin, Hope Linden of Seattle, Washington, and Lindsey Schadewalt of Belleville, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Janice.
