Duane Winslow

Duane Edward Winslow, age 75, of Gratiot, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Gratiot, WI, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Born on January 29, 1951, Duane was the son of Roy and Marjorie Winslow. A lifelong resident of Gratiot, Duane spent nearly all of his years in the community he proudly called home.

A man of few words, Duane was known for his quiet strength, steady work ethic, and deep appreciation for the simple things in life. He worked for many years as a press operator in manufacturing at Atwoods, where he was respected for his dedication and reliability. Duane found his greatest enjoyment outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or cutting wood, he was happiest in the woods and fields surrounding the place he loved. His connection to the land was a reflection of his hardworking nature and independent spirit.

He is survived by his children: Neil (Kathy) Winslow of Shullsburg, Wisconsin, Tom Winslow of Warren, Illinois, and Jeremy (Kathy) Winslow of Gratiot, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Cheyenne (Joe Klessinger) Winslow and Edie and Maddy Winslow ; and six step-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers, Dean (Nancy) Winslow, Al (Diane) Winslow, and Billy Bird; many nieces and nephews; and Nancy (Ken) Kittoe, the mother of his children. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Earl Winslow and Kenny Bird.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Main Street, Darlington, Wisconsin, with burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Gratiot. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Erickson Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
