The memories of her are many. Been a friend of the family since I was small. Played catch in the yard with bill. Football and baseball. Just a wonderful woman and family. Like losing you own mother right now. I am currently in the Philippines and just saw she passed this morning. As soon as return to the states. Will pay respects to here final resting spot. I type this with tears in my eyes. She met so much to me. RIP.

Aunt Joanie was a lovely, loving woman. She celebrated many special occasions with our family, and we cherish the time we spent with her over the years. We are sad to know we won't see her on future trips, and we send condolences to Suzette, Will & Lori, and Michael & Angela and their families. RIP, dear Aunt!.

Joan was my hostmother during my stay in the U.S 2007-2008. Since they hadn't found a family for me to live with in time for my arrival it was decided that I would just stay with Joan for a couple of weeks until they found a "real" host family for me. But me and Joan got along so well that the two of us decided that it was for the best thay I stayed with her all through my exchangeyear. She was so nice to me, we had alot of good interesting discussions about life, and we went on several trips to visit her friends and family. Her friend Margareth also was an amazing woman who I am glad to have met! My mother and my best friend from sweden also came over to visit for a couple of weeks and my mother felt so safe having her child living in Joans home. She was truly a wonderful woman and mother and I am grateful for have spent a part of my life by her side. Kim Toivanen
