Obituary

Linda McCord (Gerber) passed away December 9, 2025 at her home in rural Argyle. She was the daughter of Frederick and Doris (Hodgson) Gerber. Linda greatly loved her five daughters, four sons-in-law and three grandchildren. Some of her fondest memories with them were simple ones. She loved to play cards and enjoyed telling anyone who wasn’t there that she had won. Great memories were made on the various road trips Linda went on with her children. It didn’t matter if it was around the block or to Arizona or Wyoming. She saw each trip as an adventure. A trip was never complete unless one or more dogs were along for the ride. Dexter and Dakota were her favorites.

Linda will be greatly missed, just as she was greatly loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her five daughters: Connie (Ron) Determan, Lori (Mike) Arnold, Tammy (Scott) Benson, Shari (Troy) Staton, and Patty McCord; her grandchildren, Ashley, Samantha, and Christopher (Briannna). She is further survived by her siblings: Jim (Ruth) Gerber and Gary Gerber, a special nephew, Brian, and special friend: Sally. Linda is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathy Andrews.

There will be a celebration of life for Linda at a later date.

The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com. For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Linda's name.

Linda I remember how patient you was with me when we worked at Merle-Korff in Darlington and you was my trainer. We stayed in touch even after the plant closed. You will be so missed. RIP.
