Kevin Shager

To share dad's sense of humor, we were driving around once and i was singing along to the radio and when the song finished he said, "I can't sing either." And that was the last time I sang in front of him!

Sincere condolences to the Shager family.. Kevin’s parents, Willard and Mavis and my parents were great friends, church friends, farming friends, card club friends. A wonderful family and a great classmate. Kevin was one of the best.

This is one memory out of many. We bought this little black and white pony named Sam. We called Kevin up and told him he has to come over and see this great black and white paint we just bought. A little later Kevin stopped over expecting to see this big beautiful black and white paint. I went and got Sam and pulled him out of the barn. Kevin looked at him then he bent over hands on his legs laughing so hard his eyes were watering. He couldnt even talk. Then after a bit he stood up straight got serious and said, I could put him in my pocket and take him home with me. After that everytime kevin would see Sam he called him Pocket Sam. So that became our official family name for Sam "Pocket Sam".

I have many memories so it's hard to pick one. I remember him being a great dad. One memory that comes to mind is the fact that he taught me how to drive in the field when i was 14 or 15. He taught me in one of his old farm trucks.

The obituary says it all. I can't imagine a person who loved his family and took great care of the land as he always did. A great person' I feel privilage to have know him. My sympathy to the family, Jack Larson He will be missed. I always enjoyed his dry sense oh humor.
