Nicole Burke

Nicole M. Burke, age 37, of South Wayne, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was born on November 17, 1987, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI, the daughter of Brian and Kimberly (Yeazle) Burke. Nicole grew up in Lafayette County and graduated from Darlington High School in 2006. She remained in the Lafayette County area throughout her life, where she worked in a variety of jobs and touched the lives of many.

Nicole cherished time outdoors, especially camping and fishing with her family and friends. She had a deep love for animals, with a special fondness for owls, which she enjoyed collecting. Above all, Nicole was devoted to her family. Her greatest joy came from being a mother, and she always made sure her children knew how proud she was of them.

Nicole is survived by her parents, Brian and Kimberly Burke; her children, Danielle and Payton Martin; her siblings, Desiree (Abdul) Burke, Lee Burke, Jessica Burke, and Jonathan (Bryce) Burke; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of Nicole’s life be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Monroe Legion Hall Post #84 in Monroe, WI. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
