My sincere condolences to the Jackson family. Roger and I met through sports as I was a basketball, football and baseball official for 41 years and it was during that time that I was blessed to become a friend of this awesome man. He always had something nice to say no matter what kind of a job I may have done officiating. He is without question and icon of South Wayne and a avid supporter of everything Blackhawk. I will never forget the wonderful conversations we had over the years. He will be missed by all those whose lives he has touched and I am proud to be one of them! RIP my friend until we meet again.

I’ll always remember Roger as my friend, Vicky's, husband and a man who embodied the spirit of our beloved Black Hawk community—steadfast, kind, and quietly generous.

I am so sorry to hear of Roger"s passing. During my time at Black Hawk as a teacher administrator and coach I got to know Roger very well. He drove the bus for the girl's basketball team for many years when Roger Chambers and I were coaching. You could always count on Roger with a positive attitude after a game no matter if we won or lost. He made our players always feel good about themselves. I feel very lucky to have known Roger and considered him a friend. God Bless!! John Brattlund
