Gerald King was a man’s man—strong, funny, gentle, humble, and effortlessly kind. He took immense pride in his family, and his legacy lives on through his four wonderful sons and their families. To know him was to know a true American. He will be deeply missed. Love, Karl M.

Jerry and I grew up on neighboring farms in Willow Springs and spent eight years together at Fort Defiance, our local one-room grade school. We also went to high school together. I so much enjoyed seeing Jerry again at our high school reunion in September. We spent a lot of time talking and remembering. Living in Maine, as I have since 1978, does not allow me to get back to Wisconsin often, but I was really looking forward to seeing Jerry again at our next reunion. I will miss him.

I am Geralds cousin Donna. I have known Gerald all my life. We were friends and he treated me with respect and love. Geral was a wonderful Christian man who raised four wonderful boys and was a helpmate to his dear wife Barb. He always called me Kid. I will miss him forever. I know for certain that he is with Barb and Jesus probably on a tractor plowing the fields of heaven. Rest in peace my brother.
