Cody Nielsen

Cody A. Nielsen, age 24, of Belmont, WI, formerly of Darlington, WI, tragically passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. He was born on August 25, 2000, the son of Aaron Nielsen and Angela (Metcalf) Nemitz. Cody grew up in Darlington and graduated from Darlington High School. Following graduation, he began a career in construction, proudly following in his father's footsteps and continuing a family tradition of building with integrity and grit.

Cody was a true outdoorsman at heart. Whether it was in the woods hunting, on a farm working the land, or under the hood of a demolition car, Cody found joy in the simplicity and challenge of hands-on work. He had a love for demo car racing and the deep bond of friendship it brought. He was most at home surrounded by friends, family, and the open air.

Those who knew Cody will remember his vibrant personality, his unwavering loyalty, and his ability to make people laugh no matter the situation. He looked out for his friends like a brother and brought light and laughter into every room.

He is survived by his father, Aaron (Jessie Fitzgibbons) Nielsen; his mother, Angela (Matt) Nemitz; his siblings: Cayden, Maddie, and Camrie Nielsen; his maternal grandparents: Rodney and Cathy Metcalf; his paternal grandfather: Timothy Nielsen; his great-grandmother: Lona Parkinson; his uncles: Jermey (Jen) Nielsen and Phil (Sarah) Metcalf; an aunt: Crystal Metcalf; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lois Nielsen.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Darlington, with Pastor Nick McElrath officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. prior to the service at the church.

Cody lived fast, worked hard, and loved deeply. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
